How can I pass the Moderation stage?
A complete checklist to help you meet Insense's moderation standards
Brands on Insense partner exclusively with creators who embody creativity, quality, and professionalism. To help you meet these standards, we’ve developed a checklist for new accounts. Here are all the points you need to score when building your profile and portfolio.
1. Portfolio
Your portfolio is key to passing moderation, and it must be uploaded directly in the Insense app—external links won’t be accepted. Ensure your portfolio meets these requirements:
- At least 4 videos;
- At least 2 different video types (Unboxing, Testimonial, etc.) and 2 different verticals (Beauty & Care, Health & Wellness, etc);
- Ability to showcase personal style and authenticity, including at least 1 video showcasing speaking in front of the camera or voiceover;
- Basic technical quality (good lighting, organic transitions, clear background);
- Shooting and editing abilities and overall creative eye.
2. Quality
Brands prefer content that feels authentic, creative, and relatable. Include real people and faces in your videos on social media—feeds that feature only products like food, gadgets, or makeup may not pass.
3. Frequency
Insense is looking for creators who love creating content and enjoy engaging with their audiences. There are no strict rules for posting frequency, however, one post a month will not qualify you as a passionate creator. Besides, the brands always check your profile before hiring. It’s hard for them to evaluate the quality of a potential partnership if they don’t see frequent content in your feeds.
4. Audience Size Requirements
While you don’t need a massive following, you do need a baseline audience. You will get automatically rejected if you don't meet the requirements below:
- Instagram: 1,000 followers
- TikTok: 1,000 followers, 500 median views
Note: Insense detects fake followers, so buying followers won’t help—it’ll only prevent you from passing moderation.
5. Engagement Rate
Brands prefer creators with an engagement rate of at least 1%. Avoid artificially boosting your engagement; Insense reviews engagement on all posts, not just recent ones.
6. Prohibited Content
Your feed must be free of prohibited content, such as:
- Hate speech, violence, or bigotry
- Adult content
- Anything flagged as prohibited by social media platforms (you can search platform-specific guidelines for more details).
7. Location Eligibility
To participate in campaigns, you must reside in one of the regions where Insense operates. Currently, we support creators in:
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- Australia
- European Countries: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Poland.
- Other Regions: Brazil, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore.
Don’t see your region listed? No worries! We’re always adding new brands and locations. If campaigns become available in your area, we’ll reach out.
If your account does not pass moderation, you’ll receive an email with a description of the reason, and recommendations to improve your profile. You can contact us at help@insense.pro and request a re-moderation of your account once you make the necessary updates to your profile. Make sure to provide your handle and the email address you used to create your account on Insense.
